I never cared if a toilet seat was round or elongated
before I started to work at the Bathroom Store.
Before I was unaware of the shape of a toilet seat, I
just felt the seat where I sat was more round than usual or same as usual.
One
thought has occurred that why there are two shapes: Round and Elongated .
(Probably, in Japan there could be only elongated shape)
Allegedly, there are more round shapes in the East Coast
such as NY and Boston than on the other coast, and on the other hand, there are
more elongated in the West Coast such as LA and SF.
I’ve been to NY and Boston, and I guess the reason of the
difference may be a size of rooms and houses.
In both NY and Boston, houses were narrow in width but
deep in depth and height.
Actually, a bathroom in Boston was smaller than a
bathroom in Los Angeles.
In general,
houses along West Coast are larger having a garden or pool on their premises.
That’s to say, I can say that round seats suit small
bathrooms more than elongated seats.
